　　《左右不逢源 The Middle》主演Patricia Heaton参演多镜头喜剧《转职卡罗尔 Carol’s Second Act》由Emily Halpern及Sarah Haskins执笔的，剧中讲述女主Carol Chambers（Patricia Heaton饰）为了抚养孩子而不当教师后，现在她令人意外地竟然决定要转职当医生。
　　其他主演包括Kyle MacLachlan﹑Ito Aghayere﹑Jean-Luc Bilodeau及Sabrina Jalees。

　　该喜剧以一个虚构的小镇坦布里为背景，讲述了托尼（瑞奇·热维斯饰）的故事。托尼是当地一家报社的作家，在妻子死于癌症后，他的生活发生了翻天覆地的变化。
